One for planning show events and another for keeping your horse records.

There is a new rule in Canada that stipulates lower level eventers cannot use watches to gauge their time.
Perhaps an app that would help teach aspiring event riders how fast certain speeds are? IE, 250 mpm, 350 mpm, etc in the same manner the EquiTempo works?

Thanks for the insight.
We've added the packing list for horse shows to our development list.
Very interesting comment on eventing speeds. We'll look into that as well.

I would love to see an application for horse training. Something that I could add different types of groundwork, or problems I need to work on. I would like to be able to set goals and be able to add notes as I pursue those goals. I would like to set it for multiple horses. Also, I would like to be able to download and print this information on paper. Let me know if something like this is available.
It's is wonderful to see apps like this becoming available.
Thanks,
~Wendy
Thanks Wendy!
Appreciate your level of detail. Would you be interested in this from an English or Western perspective?
We are working with a certified coach on some basics for flatwork, hunter and jumpers. I like the 'Journal' metaphor and how one would link training objectives with daily comments. I find writing about my riding sessions very helpful. It allows me to reflect on what I'm learning and look back at the progress with a particular horse.

Hi I have just downlaoded your apps and am looking forward to using them. I agree with Wendyit would be fantastic to have an app that guides you for the eventing speeds in practice.
Cheers
Mandy
I'd like a horse health/reminder feature for my iTouch. Customizable for each horse, details on trims, vaccinations, worming rotations, feed schedule (including an option to input how much feed is in the bag vs feed used per day + a reminder to let you know you need to order/buy feed) tack maintainance and cleaning intervals can be set and a reminder given. Horse show pack lists for horse and rider, class schedule input option with reminder. Emergency number list. Could make a pretty comprehensive app out of it.
Thanks Mandy - we are working with an eventing coach to help us with the 'speed guide'.
Great ideas KDS. We are working on some apps that include these features.
EquiInfo (in development) will take care of the horse info, feed, vet and farrier schedules along with emergency numbers. I like the idea about the reminder to purchase more feed. Will have to work that into 2.0.
EquiList (currently available) will get a revision to make it a more flexible show/clinic/trail ride pack list. Currently it only manages one list for shows.
EquiEvents (in development) will help plan shows and clinics, recording times and results.
Appreciate the feedback.

Just bought equitempo and equilist, looking foreward to seeing how they work! Its a great idea! :D I love Wendy's sugestion...a "quick tips' page would be nice. It could list some of things I always forget...eg. spacing between jumps, leads, diagonals, etc. Also, an english guide with lists of groundwork, excersises, dressage tests, and other fun things to do would be very helpful! =] A journal would be great too, and maby also you could have a 'what did we work on today' list...eg canter leads, transitions, extended trot, etc.
A library of tutorials/guides/instructions would be awesome, although it would probably have to be internet-only? I have an iToutch, so it wouldn't work for me (no internet at the stables haha) but it could be a cool idea...
Glad to see equestrian apps are finally out there! Thanks so much! Please e-mail me when new apps come out!

Do you know by any chance when these new apps will be avalible?
Thanks,
Christina
With the launch of the 3.x iPhone and Touch operating system, we have done a revision to all existing apps. EquiEvents is almost ready and will be available on the iTunes store in the fall.
We are working with a couple of exciting content partners and are producing more learning focused apps. Look for those in the fall.
As the apps get more support, we will be able to add more developers and shorten release times. So, please do tell your riding community about us. The existing apps barely scratch the surface of what's possible. :)

EquiTempo 2.0 is now available in iTunes. This is a free update to existing users. We have revised the app to work with 2.1 and 2.2 software. Also, the screen will no longer go into ‘sleep mode’ while EquiTempo is running. The sleep mode was causing the ‘beat’ sound to skip when an iPhone or Touch screen was dimming.
